Your Quest Begins!

Everything you need to play a game is right here! To get started, put your printed pages into the following stacks:

· The hero's demo cards.
· The hero's deck.
· The villain's demo cards.
· The villain's deck.

Next, cut up your cards but keep them in these stacks! You may want to put them into card sleeves to make them easier to handle. After you are ready, make sure you have all your demo cards in this order...

These are the HERO player's demo cards:

2 Inuyasha, Kagome's Protector
1 Kaede, Village Priestess
1 Inuyasha's Destructive Path
1 Enchanted Sleep

These are the VILLAIN player's demo cards:

1 Sesshomaru, Aristocratic Assassin
1 Jaken
1 Yura's Sword
1 Resting Place
1 Medic Kit

We built this demo around a Hero/Villain structure. You do not have to build your actual decks around Hero/Villain lines unless you want to.

Getting started:

1. Both players shuffle the cards that make up their 2 decks while leaving their 5 demo cards to the side.
2. Both players offer each other the chance to cut.
3. Both players take the top 5 random cards of their decks and put them into a pile to the right of their discard piles. These are their 5 starting Jewel Shards.
4. Both players now take 2 of their demo cards in hand.
5. Both players set the remaining 3 cards on top of their decks so that each player will draw the correct demo cards on the first turn. (Normally you start a game with 5 cards in hand).
6. The Villain player is the active player for the first turn and will go first in every step. Who's the active player? It's the player whose turn it is for all 4 steps in the game.
7. How to Win: A player wins when an opponent has no cards in his or her deck, or when he or she controls all 10 of the Shikon Jewel Shards.

The table should now look like this:

1. The villain player draws 3 cards.
2. The hero player draws 3 cards.
